Toyota Collaborative Safety Research Center Launches 11 Studies

Earlier this month, the Toyota Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC) reported that it's partnering with eight leading North American research institutions on 11 programs that will examine the challenges and opportunities that come with emerging vehicle technologies. These are the initial projects to be launched by CSRC Next, a new program from the Center that promotes safer transitions to future mobility.

Toyota Celebrates More than 10 Million Hybrid Vehicles Sold

Recently, Toyota announced that the company had surpassed 10 million global hybrid vehicles sales, including hybrid plug-ins, by the end of January 2017. This milestone was achieved a mere nine months after the company broke the 9 million vehicle mark in April of 2016. Closer to home, Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) saw the division's cumulative hybrid and plug-in hybrid sales reach a total of over three million vehicles by the end of 2016.
