Not sure how much air to put into your tires to achieve proper air pressure? You can check the decal on the inside of the driver's side doorjamb, or in the glove box. It's best not to go by the tire pressure specified on the side of your tires, because it may not be the right amount to give you the best performance for your vehicle. You should also check your tires after they have been sitting for at least three hours, or when they're "cold." This will give you the most accurate results. Don't just rely on a visual check of your tires to tell you if your tires at properly inflated or not. Only a tire gauge will give you the most accurate results. Also check for bald spots, cracks, or tread that's not worn evenly, as these are indications that you may need an alignment or new tires.
